Year-by-year input: To enter values into schedules year by year, simply click in the cell to enter or edit the data in the field. Equals key (=): The equals key can be used to copy the previous year's array entry into the active field. Scroll bar: Due to limited preview space on the screen, we are not always able to show values for all years on one screen. Be sure to use the scroll bar to review years of data not currently in view. When available, the Copy and Paste buttons above will appear on the toolbar in the schedule window. You can use these standard Windows features to copy from a different file format, such as PDF or Excel spreadsheet, and Paste the data into an InsMark array schedule.
The Copy button works in a similar way as the Cut button. It will copy your highlighted selection(s) and store it in the Window's clipboard so you can paste the data somewhere else. You can copy from an InsMark schedule, or you can copy data from a different application such as Excel. In accordance with Windows standards, you can use the shortcut Control+C to copy.
The Paste button copies data you have previously stored in the Window's clipboard and places it into an input field (or fields). In this case we are pasting data to an array schedule. If you have copied several years of numerical data, you can quickly paste this data to a schedule by highlighting only the first year and clicking the Paste button. The program will paste the remaining years sequentially into the schedule's input fields. Clicking the Paste button does not clear the data from the Window's clipboard, instead the contents continue to be available until another Cut or Copy has been performed. This is nice when you want to repeat copying data more than once. Note: When you have previously Cut or Copied multiple entries to the clipboard, sometimes the paste function puts all of the data into the first cell. This happens when the system is in edit mode for the cell. You need the cell to be selected (highlighted), but not in edit mode. Try pasting again as follows: First delete the data that was pasted into the one cell. Next, single click on a different cell, then single click back on the first cell that you are copying to. The cell should be highlighted. Now click Paste. If that doesn’t seem to work for you, you can try highlighting all of the cells that the data will be copied to and then click Paste. In accordance with Windows standards, you can also use the shortcut Control+V to paste. Insert and Delete Field: When available, the buttons above will appear on the toolbar in the schedule window. The button on the left, the Insert Field button, allows you to insert a blank field. If you are using a year based schedule, highlighting a field and clicking the Insert Field button will cause the highlighted year and all years that follow the highlighted field to shift down one year. The Delete Field button allows you to delete the contents in the highlighted field and all the years that follow the highlighted field will also move ahead one year.
The Clear Data button clears the entire contents of the schedule. Numerical schedules will display zeros.
