InsMark recognizes the importance that you are able to get your products moved quickly with minimal interruption to your business. Follow the steps below to move your products.
Step 1. | Deactivate your InsMark Systems first |
| From the Main Menu bar, select Tools then Deactivate Products. This will increment your number of installations available, allowing you to install on a new computer. |
Step 2. | Move your Systems to your new computer |
| Be sure you have Deactivated your Systems first in Step 1. Next, locate your InsMark directory on your old computer. If you installed to the default location, your directory is under the root: C:\INSMARK. Right click on the InsMark folder and select Properties to check the space needed for this folder (under the General tab, look for "Size on disk") . If you do not have a storage drive large enough, you can copy the folders under the InsMark folder individually. |
| Copy the entire INSMARK folder to your new computer in the same location as it was on your old computer. If you installed to the default location, you will copy it to your C:\ drive. |
Step 3. Move the configuration file to your new computer
| Locate your Windows folder on your old computer, usually this is located under the root: c:\Windows. In the Windows folder, locate the file, InsMark.INI, and copy this file to the Windows folder on your new computer. |
Step 4. Activate your Systems on your new computer
| Your files are in place, now you need to activate them. To do so, run the InsMark Installation Utility from our website: www.insmark.com/Support_Links. If any of your products are not current, be sure to update them. However if your Systems are current, proceed without selecting any Systems. Your Systems will be activated regardless if you select anything on the Installation menu. |
